About the Director
Mumbai native Mrunal Mestri started working as a writer and director at the age of 17. She pursued her MA in Film and Media Production from New York Film Academy and graduated in 2022. Her thesis film VOLER has garnered 12 wins and 15 nominations and her debut independent short MALTI has received 18 nominations and 6 wins across the globe. Her stories primarily dominate narratives around identity of a brown women, self love, and relationships.
