It aims to assert that no human being is born sexist and that the solution to this social issue lies in educating boys and girls, especially in rural areas where this horror is even more prevalent. The protagonist realizes the reality of her childhood when it is her turn to raise her three children. That sense of protection forces her to break away from the love, refuge, and false sense of security she shared with her little ones in the home where they grew up.
