A young man wakes up in a dark basement, tied to a chair with a sack over his head. As his captors begin to explain their occult motives, what at first seems like just a kidnapping is revealed to be something much darker … and far more terrifying. In the wake of a failed exorcism, a grieving father will do “whatever it takes” to destroy the entity that took his daughter, even if that means committing an unforgivable sin of his own.
About the Director
Ryan Kennedy fell in love with movies at the age of 7 when his dad took him to a rep screening of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. After a few years thinking he wanted to be an archaeologist, he turned his eyes to filmmaking. Ryan studied film at Hofstra University, and has worked in the NYC film industry for over a decade, most frequently as a Script Coordinator. THE BINDING is his first film as a writer/director. He lives in Astoria, Queens with his wife, son, and their tuxedo cat named Hudson.
