About the Director
Katie Colwell (she/her) is a director, cinematographer, and former competitive swimmer based in Brooklyn, New York. In the pool, she served as captain for Oakland University’s Division I program, leading the team to championship titles all while earning her B.A. in filmmaking. After retiring her swimming career, she turned her full attention to cinematography and directing. Her newest film, LAPSE, combines her love for horror and swimming for her professional directorial debut.
