Dating is hard. Annie and Berit have decided to have their first date in the woods. At first, Annie’s nerves and Berit’s cool aloofness threaten to ruin their day before night falls. But their growing attraction starts to bring them together. That is, until Berit notices that something’s up with Annie beyond first date jitters. Berit starts to lose time, and lose themself — not just to Annie’s charms but to something deeper, darker, and more sinister out there in the woods. At least, Berit thinks the danger is out there in the woods. When morning comes, a different Berit emerges …

About the Director

Kaitlin Fontana is an Emmy-nominated writer/director. Kaitlin participated in the 2024 Sundance Institute Feature Film Development Lab. Her scripts IS THIS YOU? and GIRLFRIEND ON MARS were both on the Black List. Her directorial debut, FRANCHESCA, was an official Sundance selection. She is the writer/producer of the true crime-meets-punk podcast PETER AND THE ACID KING, a Best Podcast of 2023. Kaitlin lives in San Francisco and was born in Fernie, BC, Canada.
