About the Director

Jahmil Eady is a genre-defying writer and director from Charleston SC and NYC. Her award-winning films have been supported by NFMLA NewNarratives, Tribeca and Chanel Through Her Lens, American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women Plus, and Princess Grace Foundation. Jahmil’s most recent short, HAINT, a southern folk horror set in the Gullah Geechee community, was produced by Indeed Rising Voices Season 5. HAINT premiered at Tribeca 2025 and is being developed as a feature film.
