Thank for you for your interest in helping out the Winter Film Festival! Our 2026 Festival runs February 18-22 2026 in New York City with a jam-packed schedule of screenings, discussion panels, networking events and after-parties.

What Sort of Help is Needed?
THEATER TEAM
Sell tickets, usher, hand out flyers, greet attendees, check in VIPs and Press, run microphone during Education and Q&A sessions and take lots of photos
PARTY TEAM You must be 21+
Setup, Check in filmmakers and press at the door, Step & Repeat traffic managers, Press Area traffic managers, Security, Cleanup, Awards Managers (Awards Ceremony)
TECH TEAM
Lighting design, LiveStream, Cameras, Sound Design. Production assistants will be running the show, directing winners, organizing awards/prizes, organizing the talent, working on the livestream/video switching, etc.
WRITERS
Winter Film Festival includes a popular written interview benefit for films over about 20 minutes. These are posted to our site and linked on the film’s page, and our filmmakers share them all over the place. What Happens Next?
We will put together a shift schedule by February 1 and notify you via email from info@winterfilmawards.com. The email will include details of exactly what you’ll be doing, where to go, what to wear and how it all works. We will have a zoom call in early February where you can ask any additional questions you may have – the call is not mandatory and most questions will be answered in our documentation or you can email additional questions. We will also build a WhatsApp group chat for all volunteers so you can ask questions and check in.
