Michal Sinnott

Michal Sinnott is a classically trained storyteller. Her first narrative feature, UNPACKING, as co/writer-director-producer-actor now streams Amazon Prime as 100% Popcorn Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes after screening in 25 fests (WFF, Cinequest, RIFF, Sedona) and winning 17 awards (incl. Best Actress -Michal, Best of Fest, Best Ensemble, Audience Choice, Rising Star Director). Her second feature as a co-writer/producer/actress, YOYOs (with Linda Purl & Patrick Duffy), is in Post.

SAG-Aftra & Equity, she’s appeared in 75+ roles for radio, television/film, theatre, video games, and performance art, including companies/institutions as diverse as ABC, Sundance and The Whitney Museum of American Art and is best known as the performance capture artist for Tracey De Santa in the multi-billion dollar phenomenon Grand Theft Auto V. Her plays have received staged readings and awards in VA (Theater Virginia) and L.A. (The Blank Theatre). She was lead Producer on the Tanzania unit for her magical realist feature, THE UNIVERSE(S) OF US, that shot drone footage with the Maasai. ‘TUoU’ was a Sundance Screenwriting Lab second rounder, top 15% for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, and recipient of Big Vision Empty Wallet’s Kickstart Diversity Program.

Michal recently relocated to the mountains of Virginia with her husband (and frequent writing collaborator) Joseph to focus full-time on creative life. A former flight attendant and three time cancer survivor, she’s traveled thirty+ countries on six continents. She is a dual citizen to the U.S. and Ireland.
